How do i quit Guild as a Guild Leader ? - Guild Wars Forums

Someone promoted me to leader but i want to leave the guild

i tried to click the "G" but it said i cannot leave due to i m a leader.

Is there any way i can leave the guild ? i wanna join a new one and desparately want to leave

Can i call official support in game ?

Have you tried to promote someone else as the leader first? (Or, if you're the only member, to disband it?)

There should be another Leader in the guild ( the original guild leader ) , i tried to click "G" , and it shows a small human icon, i clicked it but it said "you cannot leave because you are a leader", and nothing else.

Tried to click something else but couldnt find anything.

Is there any secret way to quit guild ?

You'll have to promote someone else to leader first most likely.

well, demote yourself and quit.

You should be able to "step down" I am a leader in ours as well, and I am sure you can demote yourself....I will double check later....

Tried the Human icon in G, there is no pop menu other, when i click it, it said "You cannot quit because you are the leader"

So there is no option to demote or step down :<

Maybe i clicked the wrong things ?

You will have to promote someone else in the guild to leader. Then you can quit. If there is no one else in the guild, disband it.

Can there be multiple Guild Leaders? Or when you give someone guild leader will it automatically move you down to officer?

To be honest I don't know. I am the guild leader of my guild and have never had the urge to step down and/or disband the guild. I do however know that you can promote people to Guild Leader. Whether this replaces you or makes another guild leader I don't know.

Yeah me too. I am guild leader and was going to test, but it popped open a messagebox saying "Are you sure you want to promote XXXX to guild leader?" I clicked no fearing he would move up and I would move down due to only being able to have 1 GL at a time.

Be good to know though, because if I went on vacation for 2-3 weeks, it would be nice to have a GL in place of me or beside me to be online.

Finally

i promoted other in my guild, then it automatically made me to step down and become officer.

And i can quit the guild now ! ( w00t ! )
